WVAN-TV is a full service television station in Savannah, Georgia, brodcasting on digital VHF 13 and virtual channel 9. Founded in 1963, WVAN is owned by Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB). It is a member station for PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to national PBS programming, WVAN airs GPB produced programs on public affairs, outdoors and travel, and gardening. WVAN’s channel is multiplexed, with GPB and PBS programming in HD on 9.1, PBS Kids on 9.2 and GPB Knowledge on 9.3, with shows from PBS World and GPB produced programs.
