WUGA-TV Toccoa/Athens - United States Television
WUGA-TV is a full service television station in Toccoa, Georgia, broadcasting on VHF channel 24 to the Athens, Georgia area. Founded in 1984 as WNEG-TV on channel 32, it is owned by University of Georgia. It is a member station for PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to national PBS programming, WUGA-TV airs locally produced programs on public affairs, outdoors and travel, and gardening, and it also shows sports programming from local colleges. WUGA airs WUGA, GPB Knowledge and PBS World. The station was independent from 1984 until 1995, affiliated with CBS from 1995 until 2008, This TV from 2008 until 2010 and America One from 2008 until 2011.
