WMFP-TV Lawrence - United States Television
Me TV Boston, WMFP is a low-power or full service television station broadcasting to Lawrence-Boston, Massachusetts on local digital UHF 18. It is an affiliate of Me-tv. WMFP signed on in 1987, owned by well known local political commentator Avi Nelson. in 1993 it carried a few NBC shows, including soap opera Another World. Than in 1995 Nelson sold the station to Shop at Home Network and for eleven years the station programing was based around shopping at home. in 2007 the station was sold to Multicultural Television of New York City and they switched to a mixture of infomercials and GEMStv for a year, but the GEMStv affiliation was dropped a year later. From 2009 to 2010 WMFP ran Retro Television Network programs until Multicultural ran into financial problems and was sold to NRJ TV in 2011. NJR TV became affiliated with Me-TV later that year. Currently the programs are sitcoms.
