WJEB-TV is a ( low-power or full service ) television station in Jacksonville, Florida, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 44 and virtual channel 59. Founded in 1991, it owned and operated by TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), which offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeal to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic and Messianic Jewish denominations. This station’s digital signal carries five different TBN-run networks: On channel 59.1 is the main TBN network programming. On 59.2 is The Church Channel, with televised church services. Channel 59.3 carries JCTV with Christian music videos and other programs for ages 12-34. On 59.4, there is Enlace USA, consisting of Spanish-language religious programming. On 59.5 is Smile of a Child TV with children’s programming. In addition to programming from TBN, the station airs educational programming to prepare local students for the GED. Jacksonville Educators Broadcasting, Incorporated (JEB) is the permittee of noncommercial educational television stations WJEB, Jacksonville, Florida, providing expanded educational, cultural and instructional programming.
