WILL-TV is a full service television station in Urbana, Illinois , broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 9 and virtual channel 12. Founded in 1955, it is owned by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. WILL-TV is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, WILL-TV airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. WILL-TV is a multiplexed channel, with three subchannels. WILL-TV and PBS programming is carried on 12.1; on 12.2 is PBS World, with news and information, and Create is carried on 12.3, with how-to information and programs.
