WHDT-CD is a low-power Class A television station in Miami, Florida, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 44 and virtual channel 9. Founded in 2000, it owned by Günter Marksteiner. It is an independent station affiliated with WeatherNation. It was previously affiliated with Retro TV and Deutsch Welle, a news and information channel with European news. WHDT was the first station in the United States to broadcast as a digital signal.
