WGTV-TV PBS Athens/Atlanta - United States Television
WGTV is a full service television station in Athens, Georgia, broadcasting on VHF and virtual channel 8. Founded in 1960, it is owned by Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB). It is a member station for PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and the flagship station for GPB. In addition to national PBS programming, WGTV airs GPB produced programs on public affairs, outdoors and travel, and gardening. WGTV’s channel is multiplexed, with GPB and PBS programming in HD on 8.1, PBS Kids on 8.2 and GPB Knowledge on 8.3, with shows from PBS World and GPB produced programs.
