WEDU is a full service television station in Tampa, Florida, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 13 and virtual channel 3. Founded in 1958, it is owned by Florida West Coast Public Broadcasting, Inc. WEDU is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, WEDU airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. WEDU is a multiplexed channel, with four subchannels. WEDU and PBS programming is carried on 3.1; on 3.2 is V-me, with Spanish-language PBS programs; The Florida Channel is carried on 3.3, with public affairs, news and information about the people, places, history and culture of Florida, and on 3.4 is PBS World, featuring news and information.
