WACX-DT SuperChannel Orlando - United States Television
WACX is a full service television station in Orlando, Florida, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 40 and virtual channel 55. Founded in 1982 as WIYE, it is owned by Associated Christian Television System, Inc. It is an independent station, broadcasting a Christian inspirational format. WACX produces most of its own programming. WACX is a multiplexed channel, with four subchannels. 55.1 is its main channel, with the WACX program lineup; 55.2 air GodTV Network; 55.3 broadcast the INSP Network and on 55.4 is SonLife Broadcasting. All channels are Christian inspirational programming. WACX’s history goes back to 1977, when Claud and Freeda Bowers and other Lake County residents founded a local Christian cable channel. In 1982, they started broadcasting over the air in 1982 on analog channel 55 as WIYE, changing the call sign to WACX in 1988
