KOOD-TV PBS Smoky Hills - United States Television
KOOD is a full service television station in Hays, Kansas, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 16 and virtual channel 9. Founded in 1982, it is owned by Smoky Hills Public Television Corporation. KOOD is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Services) and the flagship station for SHPTV. KOOD is branded as SHPTV. In addition to its PBS programs, SHPTV broadcasts public affairs programs, agricultural information, health programs and local sports games. KOOD’s channel is multiplexed, with four subchannels. 9.1 broadcasts PBS and SHPTV programs in standard definition; 9.2 shows PBS and SHPTV in high definition; 9.3 shows Create, with how-to shows and information, and on 9.4 is World, with news and information.
