KFTA is a full service television station in Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 27 and on virtual channel 24. Founded in 1978 as KLMN, it is owned by Mission Broadcasting . KFTA is affiliated with the FOX Network, airing FOX’s primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station has its own morning news and information program, in the afternoon, it airs nationally syndicated talk shows and reality programs, in the early evening, it shows FOX reruns. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts. KFTA also airs local sports broadcasts. KFTA is also affiliated with NBC (National Broadcasting Company), airing NBC’s primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station airs NBC’s morning news and information program, with spots for local news and weather; in the afternoon, it airs NBC’s soap operas; in the early evening, it shows NBC’s national news broadcast. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts, followed by NBC’s late-night programming. KFTA also airs local sports broadcasts.
