Al Sharqiya is a general entertainment channel based in Iraq. This channel provides news coverage, public affairs programs along with comedy shows which are targeted towards the Iraqi Government. Al Sharqiya, which became the first private Iraqi satellite channel is owned by Saad Bazzaz, a London-based Iraqi media tycoon.
