WVAW-LD is a low-power television station in Charlottesville, Virginia, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 16. Founded in 1979, it is owned by Gray Television. WVAW is affiliated with ABC (American Broadcasting Company), airing ABC’s primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station airs ABC’s morning news and information program, and Good Morning Charlottesville from sister station WCAV, a CBS affiliate; in the afternoon, it airs ABC’s soap operas; in the early evening, it shows ABC’s national news broadcast and WCAV’s CBS19 News. After primetime, it airs WCAV’s 19News Nightcast, followed by ABC’s late-night programming.
